Sep. 14, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Dear Rotarians and friends,

Leadership is tested not during times of certainty, but in moments of profound change. We invite you to join us for our upcoming Rotary meeting featuring an extraordinary guest speaker whose life and career offer powerful lessons in resilience, growth, and perspective. Join us to welcome Blake Wittman, entrepreneur, business leader, and inspirational speaker with more than 25 years of experience spanning Fortune 100 companies, technology ventures, and startups across Europe.

As Chief Growth Officer and co-owner of GoodGroup, Blake helps organizations grow, hire smarter, and challenge conventional thinking about talent and leadership.  A near-catastrophic accident in 2022 transformed his perspective on life and business. Combining honest storytelling, practical insight, and humor, Blake inspires audiences to navigate uncertainty, recover from setbacks, and find greater meaning and gratitude in the moments that matter.

We will also have the pleasure of welcoming Alexia Klie, Representative for Czech Republic & Slovakia at Rotaract Europe MDIO, who will be sharing insights about the RI Convention in Barcelona.

Regular Meeting - Photographer Antonio Cossa
Oct. 12, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Dear Rotarians and Friends,

We are delighted to invite you to a very special evening with Antonio Cossa, an internationally experienced Mozambican photojournalist based in Prague and friend of our Club, who will introduce us to his powerful project "Born Different" - People with Albinism in Africa.

Born Different is a unique research and documentary project combining photography and cultural anthropology, developed in collaboration with Palacký University Olomouc and cultural anthropologist Kateřina Mildnerová. Together, they have documented the lives and experiences of people with albinism in different parts of Africa, bringing together rigorous field research with Antonio’s extraordinary visual storytelling.

Through Antonio’s remarkable photographs and first-hand experiences, the project takes us into two strikingly different realities: Zambia, where people with albinism face severe discrimination, social exclusion and even ritual violence, and Benin, where traditional Vodun (often known in the West as Voodoo) beliefs can give people with albinism a very different social and spiritual status.

Beyond documenting these realities, Born Different seeks to raise awareness of human rights violations and provide practical support to vulnerable people with albinism, particularly children, single mothers and survivors of ritual attacks.

Antonio will share with us the stories behind his photographs, his experiences in the field, and the people he has met along the way. His images offer not only a record of hardship and discrimination, but also powerful portraits of dignity, resilience and humanity.

Please join us for what promises to be a thought-provoking evening.

Club Meeting - H.E. Ambassador Raveesh Kumar
Oct. 19, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Dear Rotarians and Friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to a very special evening with H.E. Mr Raveesh Kumar, Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic, who will join us as our distinguished guest speaker.

Ambassador Kumar's topic of address this evening will be "The India Moment and what it means for the rest of the world".  He will also speak to us about the evolving relationship between India and the Czech Republic, at a particularly interesting moment in the relations between the two countries.

India and Czech Republic share long-standing historical ties, but in recent years their relationship has acquired renewed momentum, especially under the stewardship of Ambassador Raveesh Kumar. The establishment of the India - Czechia Strategic Partnership on Innovation has opened new avenues for cooperation in areas including science and technology, trade and investment, defence and security, energy, healthcare, education and research.

With India playing an increasingly significant role in the global economy and international affairs, this will be a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from Ambassador Kumar about the opportunities, challenges and future prospects of this growing partnership.

A career diplomat with extensive international experience, Ambassador Kumar joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1995. During his distinguished career, he has served in several diplomatic postings and was Spokesperson of India’s Ministry of External Affairs. Prior to his appointment to Prague in 2024, he served as Ambassador of India to Finland.

Please join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening and a valuable opportunity for dialogue with one of Prague’s leading diplomatic representatives.

Business Meeting - World Polio Day
Oct. 26, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Dear Rotarians and friends,

Every year, Rotarians around the world unite on October 24 to recognize World Polio Day and reaffirm our commitment to a polio-free world.

Since Rotary launched PolioPlus in 1985, global polio cases have been reduced by 99.9%. However, as long as polio exists anywhere, it remains a threat everywhere. In this presentation, Irena Brichta will discuss the final steps required to eradicate wild poliovirus from its last remaining strongholds, how our local club's contributions make a difference, and how you can get involved.

We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate Rotary’s landmark humanitarian legacy.
