This month we have the pleasure to welcome once again at our Club, Eva Lustigová, writer, producer and director.

Eva is the daughter of Arnost Lustig, an acclaimed Czech Jewish author who drew on his own harrowing experiences as a teenager in World War II to write novels and short stories. She lived with her father, mother Věra and brother Josef, in Czechoslovakia until the invasion by the Warsaw Pact military forces in August 1968.

In 2012, Eva produced the documentary "The Presence of Arnošt Lustig!" which had its world premiere at the 47th International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary. The documentary records her meetings and interviews with her father, in which he recalls a carefree childhood cut short by the Nazi occupation, the horror of life in a concentration camp, the beginnings of his writing career as well as living in Israel and the USA.

Please join us to hear about Eva´s life journey and the Foundation she is creating. In her own words: "There are journeys of all sorts. Sometimes, we dare go along, other times, we dare not caress the seas to explore and connect the threads of our lives".
