Come and join us to welcome Julia Tatiana Bailey, Director of Galerie Rudolfinum.

As artistic and executive director since 2023, she has led an effective operational restructure, boosted audience engagement, and commissioned a series of acclaimed exhibitions by artists including Antony Gormley, Iván Argote, Kateřina Vincourová, Sahej Rahal and the group exhibition ‘Poetics of Encryption’. Within the first two years, and with no extra investment, she increased attendance by 40% and achieved the gallery’s second most-visited year on record.

Julia is an award-winning curator and art historian. She previously worked as a curator at Tate Modern and the National Gallery Prague, following a past career as a marketeer at the V&A and Royal Academy of Arts. She holds a PhD in History of Art from UCL and her monograph ‘Painting Paranoia: Cold War Art and Anti-Communism' is forthcoming from the University of Illinois Press in 2026.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
