The alarm clock sounds at 3am. Get Up! - it is time to join the members of RCPI for a dawn ride through Prague on what is (almost) the longest day of the year. By 4am we set of - and by 4:30 the sun rose over the horizon basking us in its golden rays. The weather was the best in the 5 year history of the "Dawn Ride" and spirits were high as we criss crossed Prague on our bicycles. In the Old Town the revelers from the night before were still active. "Hey mate, can you tell me the way to the nearest kebap shop" came the request from someone who had obviously had a great night out with his friends. "200 meters on the right" - Rotarians are always helpful and obliging.
Technical issues are also no problem for a motivated team of Rotarians - two inner tube  changes and a number of other technical challenges were soon resolved and the team continued on its way.
The ride ended at Cafe Limonade who kindly opened early for us. Nothing like eggs and bacon and a big cup of steaming coffee to revive after such an early start.
4am on Charles Bridge
