He will tell us a little about himself, his mission and about gastronomic health. Dr. Šebek has been an MD since 2002, working almost 20 years as GI surgeon consultant with colon cancer domain, 2004 founded eCME medical agency MeDitorial, later co-founded virtual hospital and unique telemedicine project uLekare.cz, end up with MED21 med tech pre-fund since 2021. 2010 MSF war surgery mission in Haiti, again 2012, twice 2013 and 2015 Afghanistan, 2017 South Sudan and 2019 in Yemen. MSF/MSF SITS board member. ATLS instructor within American College of Surgeons, BBC broadcast, digital health evangelist. Any sports welcome, PPL & aerobatic fly licenses, triathlon fan, married, four kids. Mission: To utilize my medical and digital skills, knowledge & experience in order to develop both Health and e-Health systems that push the boundaries of conservative view and improve daily lives & health of people & patients. Working also in an international humanitarian environment helps me to be more open-minded, see whole complexity and be proud member of wide network of all around the globe experts. Focus: Telemedicine platform uLékaře.cz provide a virtual medical consultations, appointments and treatment related services to Czech and Slovak patients by the team of 40 General Practitioners, over 200 Medical Specialists and almost all cooperating healthcare facilities in the country. uLékaře.cz do provide a new dimension in patient-doctor relationship, analyzing health problems before the two sides meet in person, while subsequently supporting the traditional and mostly conservative healthcare system. System mission is to build a movement for a change in healthcare provision, driven by the main players – patients and healthcare professionals, towards more efficient, higher quality model based on technology.
