Over 30 members joined the weekly dinner at the Bacelo Hotel to hear Jozefa Poláková, the Rotary District Governor, speak about Rotary. the numbers were also swelled by a number of very welcome guests. Two guests were ex members of the club during their residency in Prague from 2001 to 2003 and are now back at home in Stoke on Trent in the UK. The club toasted their club called Etruria.

Jozefa thanked RCPI for the energy and drive and described the club as one which has embraced the 21st Century. She particularly emphasisd how positive it was to see a club embracing the values of Rotary and be open to women and men. A special thanks went to Staffen who, in the role as treasurer, has kept the accounts superbly and in all the years has not needed a single reminder form the district!

Petr reminded the members and friends that the Dragon Boat Charity Race is on the 23rd of May and asked all present to use their contacts to encourage companies, club and associations to enter boats.
Jiri updated members on the results of the 10k run which took place the previous weekend - well done to Staffen's son, Hugo, who finished in an amazing 39.01 minutes.

The evening was a great occasion of like minded people coming together to share stories, chat and have a really great time 'doing good'. It is thrilling to see such an active club.
