The meeting of the Rotary Club of Prague International yesterday evening contained one highlight after another. The meeting was opened by our President Vlasta Krahulcova who, with the other members, introduced the guests and was followed by Sarita Chintakanond, a Director from the Thai Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). Sarita gave a very interesting account of how TCEB encourages and assists companies and organisations to come to Thailand to hold events and conventions. The services offered by TCEB are extensive and range from assisting with the logistics to financial support for larger events.

This was followed by Patrick Prochanzka who joined the meeting and gave an inspiring speech in which he not only suggested that "nothing is impossible" but also demonstrated it by by delivering the speech standing in front of the enthralled audience. Now what's so special about that? It is a first for Patrick who until two weeks ago was confined to a wheelchair. Positive thinking, extraordinary determination and months of physiotherapy combined to make this a first for Patrick. Patrick is now studying in the USA and is living proof of the power of determination, courage and inner strength. He received a standing ovation form the members! In this short video Patrick encourages us all to approach life with the belief that "nothing is impossible". The Club collected over 11,000 CZK for Patrick just on this occasion.

The club has a tradition of toasting other Rotary Clubs and on this occasion Nelly proposed a toast to The Rotary Club of Forcalquier-Banon in France.Cheers!
