RCPI WASH Team in India

RCPI has formed a working group with the objective of determining if RCPI can help school children in India to have access to toilet facilities accompanied by hygiene education. The project is at a very early feasibility study stage. A lack of toilets in schools causes so many problems. First and foremost, the impact on adolescent girls is truly terrible. Many girls drop out of school altogether when they reach puberty. Others skip school when they have their period. Those who do go to school, choose not to drink water while at school so that they don't need to go to the toilet.
